Westwood Village Rotary Club 2011 Visit

What an amazing visit:

Friday Oct 7, 2011 

• Rotary Club of San Francisco Chinatown meeting, honoring Past President of the WVRC and Charter member of the RC of SF Chinatown. 
• A quick visit to Chinese Education Center to view our proposed mural project and learn about the challenges of Chinese immigrant students

Saturday Oct 8, 2011

• Ferry ride from SF to Sausalito for lunch at Spinnakers, watched some of the air show, remember the funny looking Stealth bomber?!?!?!
• Some free time in Sausalito .... Lappert's Ice Cream!
• Ferry ride back to SF
• Dinner at Bow Han in SF Chinatown
• Top of the Mark for dancing!

• Participated in the Italian Heritage Parade with the Rotary Parade of Flags!

Westwood Village Rotary Club 2009 Visit

On Friday October 9, 2009 members of the Westwood Village Rotary Club (WVRC) traveled up from Southern California to attend a special Fellowship meeting with our club.  Four members of the Millbrae Rotary Club also attended.  We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Tommy Toy's, presentations from both clubs - where the WVRC President Ed Gauld presented our club with a $1000 donation to our Foundation!  The afternoon was concluded with a tour of the Chinese Historical Society of America museum and a one hour walking tour of Chinatown.  The Blue Angels were also buzzing the City in their honor!

On Satuday, George Dea and Janice Koyama hosted a wonderful dinner at their home.  Rapper T made an apperance to top off the evening.
